At the 2023 Pan American Masters Weightlifting Championship, the 80% rule will be enforced. Your starting attempts must be within 80% of the qualifying total. Proof of Entry: In the event of a dispute regarding the timely submission of the Entry Form, all lifters must have proof of having entered the event.

(En el Campeonato Panamericano Masters de Levantamiento de Pesas 2023, se aplicará la regla del 80%. Sus intentos iniciales deben estar dentro del 80% del total calificado.  Prueba de entrada: En caso de una disputa con respecto a la presentación oportuna del formulario de inscripción, todos los levantadores deben tener prueba de haber ingresado al evento).

 

Eligibility: All master lifters properly registered with their respective National Masters Program who are at least 35 years of age on or before December 31, 2023. Participants must show proof of age and of current registration in their respective National Weightlifting Federation at the time of weigh-in Age Groups. Photo ID is required at weigh in. ALL non USA athletes must present a valid passport at weigh in.

(Elegibilidad: Todos los levantadores maestros debidamente registrados en su respectivo Programa Nacional de Maestros que tengan al menos 35 años de edad en o antes del 31 de diciembre de 2023. Los participantes deben mostrar prueba de edad y de registro actual en sus respectivos grupos de edad de la Federación Nacional de Halterofilia en el momento del pesaje. Se requiere identificación con foto al pesarse. TODOS los atletas que no sean estadounidenses deben presentar un pasaporte válido en el pesaje.

Adaptive Atlete Participation  (Participacion de Atleta Adaptivo)

Following the new adaptive atletes protocol and framework adopted by the International Masters Weightlifting Association  to incorporate adaptive atletes to weightlifting at the 2022 Master Weightlifting Championships.  We are welcoming masters weightlifters (Age 35+) with disabilities as competitors alongside abled-bodied athletes to the 2023 Pan American Master Weightlifting Championship in Orlando, Florida, USA. For your reference=, below are the are seven categories for adaptive weightlifters to classify under as follows:

(Siguiendo el nuevo protocolo y categoria de atletes adaptativos adoptado por la Asociaccion Internacional Master de Levantamoento para incorporar atletes adaptativos al levantamiento de pesas en el Master Weightlifting Championships 2022.  Estamos dando la bienvenida a levantadores de pesas master (edad 35+) con discapacidades como competidores junto con atletas sin discapacidad al Campeonato 2023 Panamericano de Levantamiento de Pesas Master a celebrarce en Orlando, Florida, EE. Para su referencia, a continuación se presentan las siete categorías para que los levantadores de pesas adaptativos se clasifiquen de la siguiente manera:)

    - Deaf or hard of hearing​  (Sordos o con problemas de audición)

    - Blind or visually impaired (Ciego o con discapacidad visual)

    - Intellectually disabled (Discapacitados intelectuales)

    - Amputee (Amputado)

    - Limited Range of Motion (Rango de movimiento limitado)

    - Wheelchair (Silla de Rueda)

    - Athlete of Short Stature (Dwarf)  (Atleta de baja estatura (enano))

Please see the eventbrite registration form link (Eventbrite Registration) with the option for the participants to select if they qualify as an adaptive athlete. Once the athlete is registered, they can email the meet director (Michael Cohen) directly to specify which of the 7 categories apply to the master athlete to properly identify his respective category, session based on his age group and weight class.  We are looking forward to welcome all adaptive master atletes to this master weightlifting event and to chair the platform alongside other abled-bodied master weightlifters.

Una vez que el atleta está registrado, puede enviar un correo electrónico al director de la reunión (Michael Cohen) directamente para especificar cuál de las 7 categorías se aplica al atleta maestro para identificar adecuadamente su categoría respectiva, sesión basada en su grupo de edad y clase de peso.
